Friendly reminder. We are living in 2019. There is no institutional racism. There hasn't been for a very long time. But, that doesn't mean that bigotry isn't rearing its ugly head... it is. Ideas are under attack. The thought police are watching you.
The problem with that theory is that there is no way to prove racism or for me to disprove it unless we use what is explicit. If I were accused to being a thief, you'd need proof. If you accused my organization of institutional thievery, you'd need to show that it was codified.

I can code and program as well as many of my fellow students, but I am often the only black male in the classes that we have, and coincidentally, or not, I am also the one most often over looked or whose ideas are tossed out without thought until everything else had been tried.

That’s unfortunate, but it also does not prove racism is the cause.

Overall, that would be true, but if you look from the past, up until today, the proof is there under the cover of euphemisms, and hidden actions and words. Just because it's no longer blatant doesn't mean it's not there anymore. I can point it out because it's something I've had

Don't get me wrong, things HAS gotten better since my parents day when they were subject to redlining, but, because of that there are a lot of people that were never afforded the chance to interact with others that would have gotten them into a better situation in life.
