100% GreenPower is currently far from cheap — as much as 7–9c/kWh extra. if it was available for only 1c/kWh on top of your regular bill, would you buy 100% GreenPower?

It's actually centralised power that requires the triple gold plated network, we pay so much extra because electricity is transported hundreds of kms — decentralised 100% green power that doesn't travel far or need multiple step ups and step downs should get reduced network cost

i don’t think the effect of decentralisation on costs will be as dramatic as you expect.

Yes, and I buy only Green Power, now. Financial hardship appears the only valid reason to not do so.

Is this question for your own benefit or are the results going to be used elsewhere? Of course people who follow you will vote yes as a majority

fully aware of the limitations of twitter polls — but the results can still be interesting and the process valuable.

Given the cost disparity has pretty much disappeared, it’s time the premium was reversed. If you insist on using hydrocarbon based energy for ideological reasons, you can pay a premium to pay for remediation, etc. It’s difficult to justify 7-9c/kWh today, surely.
