WOW this is stunning, but what surprised me more is how fast they got the images down from GOES
The benefit of weather satellites! Need the images as fast as possible for storm warnings etc. We get the data ~90 seconds after it's seen by the satellite.
Seriously impressive, it obviously helps that they're in GEO
