This leaks are always a glimpse into the future - those results are key, and you’re right some caution is reasonable until then. However, month long lockdowns in winter can’t become a normal way of life in my view.

Agree. They absolutely can’t become normal in any way. And I genuinely believe they won’t. We are in a position now where we have an impotent PM more concerned with his own career than well being of a nation. Both mental and physical.

On the first point I hope you’re right, and on the second, the sooner Boris leaves the better!

Be careful what you wish for. Not as if any of the Tory leadership candidates are better. Most likely to be worse.

I admire your optimism, but don't share it. The problem is internal squabbles and lack of leadership, not the leader themselves - none of the replacements are likely to fix that.

Is the system capable of supplying a significantly better solution? Is the problem beyond that of the individual?
