Catastrophic decision making by the race marshals from start to end today, but that change of mind at the end, to let the lapped cars past after saying they wouldn’t, knowing Verstappen had fresh tyres, is manipulation of the worst kind.

Thing is, if they hadn't let the lapped cars through then it'd be inconsistent with every other race, and everyone would be complaining for the opposite reason. Stewards couldn't win on that one. They should've red-flagged it and let both of 'em have new tyres for a 2 lap sprint!

They only let the five intermediate cars between Verstappen & Hamilton unlap themselves – is that right? The commentators said that normally it takes a whole lap to unwind that, but clearly a decision was made to give Verstappen the best chance of winning.
