Researchers at Aarhus University Hospital analysed medical records going back several years from almost 4m people aged 18 to 64 years old
The paper considers blood clots in general. It does not consider the specific type of blood clod that is causing worries with the AZ vaccine. This limitation is explicitly stated in the paper and is significant.
My understanding is the concern is its a HIT like thrombotic cascade dysfunction. However, still rare.
