My fav part of the last 24 hours has been Twitter randoms telling me that the Proxima Signal is probably someone's old flip phone running in the 900 MHz range. I mean, why didn't I (and the hundreds of SETI scientists pouring over the data) think of this?! A FLIP PHONE.
Sounds like the climate deniers: "Hey world-experts, I know why all your work is incorrect: It's volcanoes! You forgot about those, right?"

The first one or two are kinda funny ... cause you think its a little cute .... but then when it starts getting into the 10s or more, you start worrying about the state of things!!!! And then when you try to provide reasonable context, they get agro at you .... can't win!
