Just had exactly the same experience- and the same thoughts. Sky pollution aside, I'm far from convinced this is the way to increase internet access, especially in the developing world. Hasn't worked out too well for OneWeb!
Today I saw the #Starlink satellites for the first time (thanks for the tip, @sarahcruddas). At first they looked pretty cool...but they just kept coming.
Such a shame to spoil the night sky in this way, c'mon @elonmusk - you can come up with something better than this.
