Am being very lazy and haven't examined the code yet (apologies in advance), but would this allow me to lookup the value for a given long and lat coordinate? Or at least with a bit of hacking around?

Good question! Retrieving drizzle estimates from radar are a challenge: the radar echoes are very sensitive to droplet size and drizzle droplets are so small that the return signal is very weak. [1/2]
