The B737 Classic tag is a bit of a misnomer. The true B737 classics have the P&W JT8D engines. The later CFM powered series -300/400/500 aren't that old. The first in the series, the -300 first flew in 1984, two years after the B757's first flight.pic.twitter.com/vxsXlXEeN6
