Happy memories of tracking icebergs as they passed Elephant and Clarence Islands as part of #JointServicesExpedition in 1976/77. This one would have been a cracker to track!pic.twitter.com/OABf5qxz8q

My! You were with Chris Furse...! His 'Elephant Island' book was one of the 1st books I read about Antarctica! I intend to re-read it, now knowing so much more about the place. Still looking for Furse's book on Brabant Island with De Gerlache!
#B09F is indeed a massive tabular #iceberg. I discovered it whilst guiding for @Silversea. Here's a very small section on a pic, I took 27 Dec 2018, with #ClarenceIsland behind. B09F is as big as nearby #ElephantIsland. It travelled from #RossIceShelf to #southshetlandislands.pic.twitter.com/oJuERmlzM5
