This is interesting, how does it verify against ground radar?
As part of my @NERCscience fellowship I'm making a tool that mimics aircraft weather radar using satellite pics, giving pilots a long-range view of storms.

If you could overlay that on a flight plan.... and even attempt to predict storm movement as you progress through the plan...now that would be a tool worth having.
