It kills them through starvation/dehydration while food/water is abundant, preventable disease when healthcare is available, exposure when there’s housing available. Hoarding. And that’s not even including the many millions that have died to protect the interests of capitalists.

Again when has capitalism been responsible for this? Why would it do that? People are customers! North Korea, Zimbabwe, Venezuela and Ethiopia are countries where people are dying now from starvation. What Capitalist country is the same or worse happening?

When? Every day. Why? Because the rich protect their own power, of course! How are you supposed to control people if they don’t depend on you to survive? And Zimbabwe, Venezuela and Ethiopia are ALL capitalist countries. How many people are dying of starvation in NK anyway?

Not one of these countries is capitalist. You can't have capitalism without property rights and rule of law. Even in Qatar as an investor the government can appropriate you property. Give these countries those two things and watch them thrive.

In the goddamn UNITED STATES the government can appropriate your property. Eminent domain, civil asset forfeiture, they got tons of names for it. Are you seriously working a “true capitalism has never been tried” angle here??

No. But their are limits. Eminent domain exists, but the government can lose those cases. That doesn't happen in communist countries or many socialist ones.

Can it happen in Qatar? I’m not asking if it *does,* just if it can. Frankly, I think civil asset forfeiture is much more disgusting. That’s the state seizing PERSONAL property!

Can happen in Qatar, not a country to upset a native in! Strange. You can't avoid paying college loans in US by bankruptcy. If your parents cosign the loan they are libel for it even if you die! Not true for any other sort of debt.

Cancel ‘em all and let Bernanke sort ‘em out, that’s what I always say

Cancel them all! First tweet ever to make me laugh out loud! Great comment! I bet students pay interest at least 10 times higher than the banks did during the bailout! Scratch that must be way higher!
