His factual errors and deliberate distortions are pointed out in literally every one of those videos. If you’re implying that BPS would have opposed slavery, I think that’s ridiculous.
SIlent majorities don't matter. If 5% of a group are organised, vocal and ruthless, they can force the disunited majority down the path they want, as is happening today. It then become essential to be seen to support the new orthodoxy or risk losing one's career/livelihood.

I hope so! The debate is the thing! As we have shown, it is possible and both sides and society benefit. Accepted wisdom shouldn't be protected, often it will be correct, but sometimes it will be terribly wrong.

The Goths only gained an organized, vocal ruthlessness towards the empire due to systemic abuse, though. Earlier peoples had been treated more favorably, with even the slaves treated as full citizens upon “earning” their freedom.

Most barbarians admired Rome, but couldn't understand it, their cultures being barely above the tribal level. No pre industrial state could feed such numbers without months of preparation. Rome needed six months to prepare for military movements in the tens of thousands.
