4 of the 5 polisci journals in the analysis detected evidence that submissions by men/solo men were more likely to be desk rejected than submissions in the comparison category (http://www.ljzigerell.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Joint.png …). Not sure why that doesn't count as a gender bias in editorial decisions.
