On this 4th of July we acknowledge the gap between our nation’s ideals and the racism that pervades our criminal legal system. While we create new polices, expand language access, and end the death penalty in San Francisco, we continue to fight for our ideals.
In expanding language access, Chesa is meeting an obligation to serve the people of the USA. Over 350 different languages are spoken in the USA. California made English its official language in 1986. Chesa’s policies mitigate the barriers inherent in only one official language.
