Once you reach 1,000 subscribers overall (channel lifetime count) that's one part of the eligibility, example starting at 0 reaching 1,000 subs. The second part is to get 4,000 watch time hours in the last 12 months.
4,000 hours is a stupidly high number for us good small creators and is a slap in the face for us and I'm guessing you know that but big money always wins out against true original creativity
