@simX Me, too. I press Esc and then the next time I use the mouse it’s usually better.
I can regularly get Mountain Lion’s screensaver into a state where it “shows” the login window offscreen. Have to type blindly.

@simX OS X ScreenSaver auth has been a long time problem. -
@simX in .7 you’d just press the power button until the login window pops up. They seem to have… fixed this workaround. -
@simX it will sometimes beep at me instead of letting me type. Has done that since 10.7 but in .8 it’s harder to recover from.
