I may have reached the highest level I want to go within my department, since I’m not interested in managing people, but I know colleagues who have been here longer and are happy with their station. I feel pretty happy in my current position.

I’ve had more responsibility this past year, so that plays into to the feeling of being worn out. I’m really happy with that responsibility, at least.

If it seems like I’m a bit worn out, it’s because we switched to using different software that we spend the most time using, and everything seems harder “post”-pandemic.

The Toronto office closed this year, so I feel a little bit left in limbo, especially having moved here from Vancouver to work in an office setting.

Today marks my seventh anniversary of working at . This was the second full year of working during the pandemic, doing so mostly from home, sometimes working from the office, and recently, out of a co-working space once a week.

The thought occurred to me because there’s a temporary skate park in Toronto with a sign that says you must have a skateboard to enter. That seemed like a reasonable restriction. Does one need a dog to enter a dog park?

Apps that reward daily streaks are shifting towards short streaks. Ingress now rewards 7-day streaks and it counts how may of those you put together. It’s easier to start a new short streak than a new long one, and maybe people stop using the app after a long streak ends.
