Signal doesn't have an onion site for text privacy? Only encrypted for mobile data?

I downloaded the app via gooogle play someone said that if it is SMS it will not go encrypted unless i am in mobile data. How can i use signal via Tor? Looking forward to your response

Oh! Conversations between Signal users are automatically encrypted and no extra steps are required (such as using Tor). If your friends aren't using Signal yet, you'll see an option to invite them.
