    According to the Bible, Yahweh/Jehovah DELIBERATELY divided the people. Why? Because he saw that humanity united can accomplish ANYTHING we set out to do. And if we can accomplish anything simply by working together, what need would we have for a god?

    While euphoric, harmonious depictions of minority characters in media is important, realistic, grounded depictions of bigotry are equally so. If we refuse to acknowledge that such bigotry exists, it doesn't go away. We need more poignant stories of trans people overcoming bigotry

    My finding out my dad is schizophrenic was a major part of my path out of religion. With that knowledge, I realized I couldn't reasonably rule out the possibility that the "demon encounters" and other religious experiences I'd had as mere hallucinations.
