Same reason and strategy as for Corbyn: to wreck. It provides fodder for opponents, affects poll ratings, makes it difficult for Leonard to lead and affect change and strangles his leadership. Worked before, they're doing it again.

Might imply the GMB and Usdaw 4 were at most going to abstain rather than vote against and that wd have made it 11-16 in favour of VONC at most
