Really enjoying the read of @DanFrakes' review of the 2013 Mac Pro:http://www.macworld.com/article/2082515/mac-pro-late-2013-review-apples-new-mac-pro-really-is-for-pros.html …
@tapbot_paul Yep. In my current setup, USB3 is for backups and aux storage, SATA/PCIe for primary/boot storage. // @DanFrakes

@tapbot_paul I expect to use Thunderbolt for primary storage, and keep using USB3 for backup/aux. //@DanFrakes -
@siegel@DanFrakes I doubt you’ll notice any difference for primary storage unless you mean SSDs. -
@tapbot_paul I have a Little Big Disk SSD and a striped pair of VelociRaptors. I reckon I'll notice. :-) //@DanFrakes

@siegel Have you found a good USB 3 drive dock? - View other replies

@mjtsai I'm actually using some of these enclosures: http://www.amazon.com/Sans-Digital-TowerSTOR-Enclosure-TS1UT/dp/B009AR2KU2/ … work great for both eSATA and USB3. -
@siegel Thanks. I think that’ll come in handy for an aux drive.
