I'm not big on swearing but it seems appropriate in this instance.

But Indict first - Don't let him PROFIT from Being in Office
-
Impeachment is the political equivalent of a criminal indictment. If
#Individual1 were criminally indicted, they'd challenge the constitutionality of that indictment all the way up the the Supreme Court -- and with the conservative court, we can all guess how that would end. -
But with impeachment; Isn't he allowed to profit from holding office; keep all his SPOILS? Not so with INDICTMENT where he is NOT Allowed to keep his goodies
-
If you're refrerring to the Former Presidents Act (the law that gives ex-presidents a fat pension every year for life) ex-presidents do not qualify for it if they're removed from office. If he resigns he'll get his annual stipend. If he's impeached & convicted/removed he won't.
-
His presents; extra money from hotels & business b/c of office; Money from his tax bill for rich; etc etc etc
-
Hmmm...I don't really see a different financial outcome between impeachment and indictment. Both are just formally charging someone, but they're not convictions. Those "presents" you mentioned seem to be grounds for impeachment themselves (I.e. the emoluments clause).

-
In fact, impeaching first and removing from office might be the smartest route because he can still be criminally indicted afterward. There would be no constitutional conflict there.
-
I believe
@TribeLaw suggested indicting first
