Comparing a woman wearing something within her religion and beliefs that makes her comfortable to a time of overall oppression and sexism is the dumbest, most ignorant statement someone has made under this post. No its not a “full circle” its a woman doing what she wants.

Ummmm. It’s not out of freedom that she wears this but out of an oppressive religious imposition. But, lest we forget, Islam is the only religion that seems to get away with this and have the world, even the so-called broad-minded, approve and endorse it. /1

that’s an incredibly wrong assumption, i wear my hijab bc i know that im beautiful and believe that only people close to me should see myself and my hair, this is the case for MANY muslim women. it isn’t oppression, it’s a choice that we are free to make.

If it’s a matter of choice, fantastic. No argument from me—just support. But if and when it’s forced, it should be spoken out against. (Many don’t in these instances but tolerate it.)

Some Hijabes will keep saying that they are wearing it willingly, even though their were forced to wear it when they were young and threatened by gods anger and hell.

The purpose of hijab is veiling ( to cover up). What is this nonsense? She is completely and totally exposed. This is fashion not Islam.

It’s a ploy to force Americans to unwittingly accept this as part of America’s new culture. It isn’t American nor should it be accepted as such. When in Rome do as the Romans do.

We have to respect the way of life of our hosts. The American way of life. We didn't come here to change it but to enjoy it. Those who don't like it can go back to where they came from. America offers us several liberties and that's the beauty of this place. LIVE AND LET LIVE!

Totally agree with you Malik. People should be assimilating like my grandparents did when they came here from the Middle East over 100 years ago!
