I have a question regarding the egg.

seems like the fish did NOT want an egg in this trying time

I read that the Coke and Mentos chemical reaction reduces the oxygen in the water so the catfish come up to look for air. The egg is bait to also help bring the catfish up.

i just read that

for anyone wondering: catfish stings put venom into the blood stream which causes swelling (edema) and increased blood flow near the injured area (hemolytic) the person in the video is practicing correct catfish handling (still scary af tho… catfish are strong af)
