Indeed. Many leaders (and their teams) are like the Chicken. Few are like the Cheetah. What's more, the Chickens refuse to believe that the Cheetah can exist. Many of them are secretly proud of their Chicken status. They derive satisfaction from activity rather than impact.

When you look closely, the target is actually fake prey. So maybe the cheetah realized that at some point. I like to think there's an OKRs metaphor somewhere in there🙂

Great metaphor for Speed + Focus. I am imagining a 2x2 with Speed/Focus, and it would be great to think-through how do you get to Speed (H) + Focus (H) stage from 1. Headless chickens (Speed-H, Focus-L) 2. Tortoise (Speed-L, Focus-H) 3. Goldfish (Speed-L, Focus-L)
