Correct me if I'm wrong, but the horseshoe theory would predict that this line of thought would encourage women to dress uber-conservatively, to the point of wearing burqas, effectively reinforcing patriarchal, Islamic standards.

I kind of get the second point. Who’s idea was it that we should be thots to empower ourselves? I def fell for that when I was 18/19. IMO the most empowering thing would be to be yourself. If u a hoe, be a hoe. But if ur not, that’s ok too. Sex positivity got weird, man.

In a way for sure. A lot of these cats are either jaded hetero women (like mgtow) or bitter lesbians - all of which resent femininity because it doesn't work to their advantage the way it does for more well adjusted and secure (or more attractive) women.
