Strong disagree. The highest-performing CEOs I know were able to bootstrap most of the value chains their companies depend on. You can't do that if you're not as least as qualified as the people you hire to manage it.

The least qualified, initially. I knew nothing when I started out. Then I learned a lot. I know I know a few things I didn’t know I‘d ever need. I’d say that „talking yourself into founding a company“ qualifies as an interview ;) You hired yourself, a very bootstrappy move.
