    This was a little after 26/11. Some of us & were travelling to Pune when he started telling us about an HR conference he was at. Among the speakers was the HR boss of IHCL, the group that runs Taj hotels, who was invited to share his learnings from the terror attack.

    WSL works like a charm! One of the things that still keep me on windows...

    Absolutely mind-blown that I had no idea that (1) You can install a Linux sub-system on Windows, (2) Which means you can run all Linux things, (3) I can't think of a great reason to use macOS (other than iMessage). Microsoft has come so far. I had totally written it off.

    Nowadays I learn new mathematics primarily through coding. I build a model system in Python, write unit tests, construct examples and iterate. There are limits to this style, but it's surprisingly powerful. I suspect the math classes of the future will adopt this system
