For every ten I buy, I probably read 1-2 within a year and 1-2 more sometime in the future.

varies depending on how much I procrastinate working (that's when I seem to read general books), but the moment, this ratio is at least 2x

I have maybe 50 unread books, but the pile doesn’t grow or shrink much

Probably 20:1 at best. Perhaps even higher.

4 to 1 or maybe 3 to 1. It's kind of sad. I'm not including cookbooks in the count -- I read all of those :)

5:1 depending on mediums available. If I commit to a book, I tend to pick all - print, Kindle and audio book.
