Honest question: why is weed is on the athletics anti-doping list. Isn’t it the opposite of performance enhancing?

Drug usage was used to fight and discredit certain demographics by US governments. Anti-war, black, minority, etc. Former cabinet members openly acknowledge this. Athletics extension is just their going along w/ establishment entities like official DEA policies and agendas.

The official answer is that it can improve focus and relaxation, which is performance enhancing in some sports

Healthier than most drugs to help with recovery time, so unfair advantage if everyone can't use it since it's illegal in most of the world.

Pharmaceutical pain relief is performance enhancement. Athletes training for the US Nationals were even prohibited from using Ibuprofen (late 1980’s, I don’t know if that’s still the case). I whimpered when my coach told me 2 espresso and 4 Advil just before training was a no-no
