Available video speeds on YouTube: 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 2.0. What monster left out the 1.75x

Omg was literally just thinking this, but for Audible. Was trying to listen to a book and 1.75 is the optimal speed for a leisurely car ride! I got frustrated by both 1.5 and 2 so went back to music. 🤪

I noticed that my Android tablet’s Audible has many more speeds than my iPhone’s audible. Unfair!

You can get other speeds via Chrome plugins, which also allow 10s rewind. One day YouTube geniuses will figure it out.

For 10s rewind you don't even need a plugin : just use J ! J : rewind 10s K : pause L : forward 10s F : full screen C : caption M : mute

Every audio and video player needs the option of setting any decimal number as playback speed.

I guess they don’t pay much attention to that part of the player, so browser plugins such as YouTube Playback Speed Control (which offer 2.0x+ speed) became popular.

Speed 1.75 - that ought to be someone’s new startup’s name and hope they bankrupt Audible through competition, at least get the Audible designer fired and banned from the industry seriously.
