What’s fun is watching people win awards or serve as judges while completely ignoring the front page news of a woman of color letting y’all know she was interrogated for participating in a PSA on domestic abuse.

Maybe we should be asking why the Beard Foundation believes it should investigate a chef’s participation in a campaign about domestic violence awareness. Why would they need to investigate that? Why would someone submit that campaign as evidence of bullying? Let’s get curious.

Instead of congratulating someone for getting a Beard nom, the proper response should be “I’m so sorry.” A troubled, broken org remains troubled, broken. But it’s hurting people in new ways.
