As always, innocent civilians including many children will suffer the most. Millions are starving in the world's worst humanitarian crisis and any reduction in food aid will result in increased suffering and death.

I’m still sitting here thinking about all the ppl in Iowa who work at night, the ppl taking care of sick family, the parents who can’t afford childcare, & the ppl with disabilities all of whom who couldn’t even vote in the first place bc of how unequal & antiquated caucuses are.

The numbers are so small, it is heartbreaking. It will take two years to evacuate all the patients on the waiting list, assuming daily flights of 50 patients. There is no logical reason to close Sana’a airport and it is a crime under international laws.

I actually think Sanders' foreign policy is the *best* part of this presidential campaign platform. It's weird that it doesn't get enough coverage: a President Sanders could literally save 100s of kids' lives on day 1 of his presidency by ending US involvement in the Yemen war.

Sanders' "foreign policy will be what Democrats are putting on the ballot in 2020. Primary voters should take that into account," writes . Totally agree: "take into account" that Sanders opposed Iraq & also opposes the occupation & the Yemen war:

People can line up to do this—for all the world to see— because there are zero social consequences for displaying anti-Indigenous racism in the US.

No one deserves to be bombed so arms dealers can make more money. No one deserves to die because they can't afford healthcare. No one deserves to go into debt after getting an education. No one deserves an inhabitable planet. We deserve a presidency &

“The problems that we have did not come down from the heavens. They are made by human decisions. And good human decisions can change them.” - We are powerful. We can do this. Let’s let them know what this is all about.

I can sympathize with someone just trying to survive who relegates foreign policy to a secondary concern. But for more privileged people, it strikes me as decadent. If your government is murdering people around the world in your name, the least you can do is not support it.

You didn’t lose your country, your democracy, your land of the free and home of the brave today or at any point since Nov. 16, 2016. You (hopefully) gained important clarity on what this settler colonial nation has always been. The only question left is what you’ll/we’ll do now.

For years, US & Saudi officials claimed Yemen's Houthis are Iranian proxies. Mainstream media sources didn't let evidence (or lack thereof) to get in the way of parroting this notion. Now, however, US officials seem to be walking back on these claims:

In 2018, MBS also met with Trump, Bill Clinton, Oprah, Rupert Murdoch, Bill Gates, Tim Cook, Elon Musk, Jim Mattis, Morgan Freeman, Dwayne Johnson, Henry Kissinger, Michael Bloomberg, John Kerry, & many others. I bet they're a bit worried right about now.

Those of us with loved ones who are being killed, starved, and denied their basic human rights by Saudi Arabia and the UAE for nearly 5 years may have a different take on this.
