🚨PSA🚨 A private equity company just bought the rights to the entire .ORG domain registry. Oh, and removed price caps, too. If your nonprofit owns a .org domain, go extend your registration out to the maximum 10 years before prices skyrocket.

Information & knowledge can flow when people develop filters to seek information, take time & effort to make sense of it, and then share appropriately, often adding value to what they share

Okay, so y'know how 'laughing' in Japanese is Warai (笑い)? So because it's faster to just type w's over and over because of how japanese typing works on most keyboards, wwwww became shorthand for 'lmao', which THEN got shortened to the kanji for grass (草) bc it looks like grass

Things I hold to be true #1 You are not your user, so stop designing for yourself. Understanding what your users need and communicating that around the organisation is super important.

If you have a family member who snores, take them to a doctor and get them checked out for sleep apnea. It took me ages to figure out factors behind my dad’s stroke(s) as doctors don’t often look for it. Increased testing here could save lives and prevent lots of brain damage.

the best way to scout interesting people on Twitter is look for high output of unpolished but good ideas this is a good signal that they’re iterating quickly to pick up the necessary polish, and that their ideas will sound even better when they’ve picked up that polish

I have no idea what the truth is about sleep. But this raises questions like: - How do you judge claims without doing 130hrs of research? - Given studies themselves can be similarly bad, how do we know anything? (Do we?) - how to tune your BS detector - Self-experiment = best?
