It's #TransAwarenessWeek, I will throw some #detrans facts out there.
#1 The term "detrans" itself isn't used by ALL detransitioners, one of the reasons being its adoption and use by trans antagonistic groups. Other reasons may be the retrospective framing of the transition(s).

#4 To the more 'problematic' aspects of
#detrans. Some, BUT NOT ALL detransitioners retrospectively see their transition as ... damaging/a form of self-harm. ... a result of past/current mental health problems which should have been addressed prior to/instead of transitioning.Show this thread -
#5 Living as a detrans cis woman means having your (current) gender identity "backed up" by cissexist society (a privilege trans ppl don't ever have). But you may still be rejected by healthcare providers (including those who helped you transition) and face trans discrimination.

#6 Many, if not most detransition to a non-binary identity rather than to re-identifying with a cis gender. Some still apply the label "trans" to themselves. The transantagonistic hatred voiced by some detransitioners does not reflect the attitudes of most.
