Here I went from spelling my last name as Castaneda because English speakers can't pronounce the enye in Castañeda.

I agree with your point, indeed. My Q. Is: Are Spaniards “ethnic”? Aren’t they White Europeans? Essentially she was White and now uncovered as... White. The fake immigration is of course, still “problematic” though... the whole thing is a strange sitch

i think anyone who doesn’t speak english as a first language and is trying to fit into a new culture is ethnic in this situation and valid as an immigrant. would you say that a russian who moved to america w russian culture and languages was not ethnic?
