On top of everything else today, Manafort admitted to information sharing with Russia. No one is shocked but don’t let them tell us there wasn’t conspiracy or collusion. There absolutely was.

After 2 1/2 years of carefully avoiding COVID, it finally got me. On the first day (a week ago), I thought I had heat exhaustion. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Feels more like the flu than a cold and I still don't feel right. Please, keep masking. This thing is still here.

I lost an old friend from college to Alex Jones. The last time we spoke a year ago he repeated a familiar line among his supporters “I just wish he wasn’t right so often”. By lost I mean, I can’t bring myself to call someone who would give Jones the time of day on any subject.

So long Costa Rica, thanks for all the beautiful sunsets, rideable waves, geckos, parrots and other beautiful beasts but thank you most for the bonkers thunder and lightning shows.

Rewatching the first Spider-Man movie and forgot the plot is “Startup CEO loses job and has mental break.” The other options were to retire rich, or start a second company but creating the Green Goblin was just too tempting.

Every business on Yelp that says “Attention to detail is what our customers notice most” also has a dead web address that redirects to a domain squatter.

My doctor in his regular monthly newsletter on the death of “herd immunity” below…. TL;DR: Stupid people who reject science are likely to get more of us killed.
Among the many societal changes caused by the pandemic, I am particularly concerned about the waning trust and perceived legitimacy of medical science. At the beginning of the pandemic, the term “herd immunity” was a veritable mantra uttered incessantly as a rallying cry for our salvation. Given what we knew at the time, there was a sound medical rationale for this approach. As our understanding of COVID has evolved, we now recognize it’s futility. The scientific method rests on hypothesis generation, data gathering, and reformulating hypothesis. Examples such as giving up on herd immunity are an entirely logical part of the scientific process. However, most people are not versed in the scientific method, and to an untrained observer, the process appears to be that of failure, leading to cynicism and falling prey to political manipulation. All of which will make future medical policy much more difficult to enact. I am very worried by this development.

Carolyn Berger who knows something about this kind of suit agrees. No one can compel Musk to buy Twitter.

In Twitter v. Musk case, this stunning @SquawkStreet interview is a must watch. Carolyn Berger, fmr vice chancellor of the Delaware Chancery Court, says the court will consider Musk’s potential to not obey when it weighs whether to force the deal to close.

We have a lot to be angry about at this moment. People are unfairly blaming Biden for inflation and prices at the pump when the last guy wasn’t just a highway robber but Madoff-level corrupt and yet he walks free.

Fed finds 75% of $800 billion Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) didn't reach workers. More than 90% of the PPP loans were forgiven, going to the ultra-wealthy. A known scam as it was happening under the Trump admin. All while unemployment was abruptly cut. justthenews.com/nation/states/

A DFW woman was pulled over and ticketed for driving alone in the HOV lane. She's 34 weeks pregnant and tells the cop her unborn child counts as a passenger since Roe V. Wade was overturned. The state can't have it both ways, she argues.

I’ve sold 4+ companies & done diligence on many more companies inside of Google, Aol, Pinterest, Slack and as an angel. Every deal is different but a signed agreement has consequences. If there is a break up fee it will be paid, negotiated or litigated. This deal is over.

Twitter is the Internet’s Schrödinger's cat. It is perpetually dead and undead. Don't look in the box.

This is what caring looks like. We are all in this together. We are a wealthy nation and state. We should expect our government to provide basic, essential, and lifesaving healthcare like insulin. Thank you .

California is going to make its own insulin. It’s simple. People should not go into debt to get life-saving medication.

The year is 2046, all 17 Supreme Court justices decide that 5.3% spam is “well above 5%” and rule that Sir Elon Musk II cannot be expected to pay for Twitter based on his father’s original deal. The Elder Musk could not be reached for comment on Mars due to Laser CommLink issues.

My Twitter account can drive now. I’ve been on Twitter for 16 years! #MyTwitterAnniversary PS: usually you remember my Twitterversary and make a card, but you didn’t today so I had to make my own weird 16th card. Were you intentionally trying to “Sixteen Candles” me?

Log on to Gunner in the morning to see if anyone was shot by guns, then check-in to see if they catch any of the people with guns. Then sometimes people on Gunner offer their sympathies, offer solutions or talk about how it's not the guns. On Gunner, we always know it's the guns.

More people were shot and killed in America over Independence Day weekend than are killed by guns in Japan and the UK combined during an average year. It’s not video games, lack of prayer, or too many doors that caused that. It’s guns. It’s always guns.

Bet a lot of Senators are rethinking their recent “must be 21 to buy a gun” law now. Just joshing I’m sure they’ve moved on to something cool like seeing if we can lower the minimum wage or sell cigarettes to minors.

A mass shooting today 15 minutes from my hometown, in the town where of many of my friends grew up. At a Fourth of July parade, no less. Friends lost family and neighbors. I don’t have many words right now, but I do have this: gun control now. And fuck the NRA.
