Next time my work laptop is due an upgrade I'm pushing hard for a Dell XPS running some flavour of Ubuntu.
Apple is getting quite minimalist indeed. Even my headphone port on my Mac stopped working. Less functioning hardware, less software that uses it needed. 
I approve. On other news, now's your chance to get developers on your hardware Dell, IBM (maybe Google).
