I just realised that saying "OK Google unlock my phone" on my phone works. Has to be a bug. Else we've lost.
no need for "unlock my phone" part. I need only touch the screen after the Google app comes up to listen.

just found that out. Was looking for some setting I may have missed and it was there. Working as intended. This is awesome.
