Not personally impacted, but airlines issuing credit vouchers for cancelled flights in all of this seems like nonsense. Surely you're entitled to an actual refund.

(this doesn't justify what they're doing) I think they may be very afraid of the times ahead as companies. So they're trying to get as much cash as possible on their side now so that they can maintain operational cash flow until we all come out of the other end.
This to me makes sense (from a fragile corporation point of view). It's certainly easier than asking their shareholders to return all the money they made in the past year (which they wouldn't anyway).

Oh it absolutely makes sense. Who the hell has the cash to refund n months of bookings that won't be rebooked? It seems like the sort of thing that's on dodgy legal ground if people challenge it though.
