    Being a computer programmer is like being stuck assembling your own burger. We’ve rushed a god damn shit show. Pickle is half hanging off. The ketchup isn’t uniformly applied. But we sure as hell obsessed about something dumb like focusing so much on centering the bun alignment

    A trait of seniority in developers is to start thinking holistically about the project/feature we're working on instead of only focusing on the task we have ahead. The ability to think about how it fits with what the team is doing, and with the team's goal

  13. If allows me, I'd go a bit further and say that it doesn't even strictly need to be an engineer. Did a sales person edit one of the repos and put a PR to fix a typo in the website? Did a designer make a change? None of these people should live in fear
