@SFPD reported that they see an increased number of burglaries when householders are at home. Criminals in SF became so brazen they no longer even try to not get caught. @SFDAOffice will release them anyway.

Some additional cities to compare: LA burglaries are down 14%. San Diego - down 16.2%. San Francisco is the only major city in California with a surge in burglaries this year. And that's despite being the city with most white-collar workers, who are working from home.

And if you want to say it's because of the pandemic, two points: 1) SF isn't alone in the pandemic 2) In other cities burglaries plummeted during the pandemic. In SF, they surged. SF is the only city in CA in which burglaries became more common during the pandemic.
