We're using Nutanix AHV to replace VMware ESXI because we don't have to pay for licenses with AHV. AHV is free, and, for us, provides the exact same functionality as ESXI! #AHV #Nutanix #YouDecide

AHV has DVS like capability by default, no additional licence. We don’t have or need the concept of a local vSwitch.

OvS is a wildly successful (yet, as you point out, mostly invisible) open source project, now in the safe hands of the Linux Foundation.
It’s truly great that Nutanix, like so many others, can benefit from the pioneering work by contributors at VMware, Red Hat, Intel, IBM, etc
