.@genopp wants youth to vote GOP but is focusing on issues like beer regs and Web taxes that aren't partisan @cqnow http://cqnow.co/1sR0cRv
.@MrNickDyer @GenOpp nonpartisan groups usually don't spend their time trying to elect candidates of one party.

@shawnzeller You and I both aren't that naive. Nonpartisan groups that spend big $$$ almost exclusively spend their time trying to do that. -
@MrNickDyer I'm not sure whether you're making fun of the tax exempt rules for nonpartisan groups, or really saying@genopp is nonpartisan? -
@shawnzeller I'm saying we shouldn't write articles like we don't realize what is going on just because of silly government definitions. -
@MrNickDyer You missed the point -@genopp wants GOP to win but is focusing on beer regs and net tax that don't favor GOP candidates. -
@shawnzeller Honestly I think it tells you more about long term goals. They believe in those nonpartisan issues & want GOPers to support it. -
.
@MrNickDyer If they were nonpartisan, they'd be running ads in GOP dry counties and Utah, or against Enzi on net tax, but they're not. -
@shawnzeller The net tax passed a Dem majority in the Senate and failed in a GOP house. So, they are right to support a GOP Senate. -
@MrNickDyer it got 20 GOP votes in the senate providing margin of victory and may yet come up in the house during the lame duck. - 1 more reply

@shawnzeller But you note that GenOpp is bucking that trend. So, props on that. -
@shawnzeller That said, we shouldn't feign naiveté based on what the FEC/IRS define as partisan. Arbitrary laws create arbitrary definitions
