I actually even believe that if Black players stopped taking a knee for police brutality and white players did it, Trump wouldn't be opposed like he is now. It's the fact that it's Black players, taking a knee for Black people, that rubs white people the wrong way.

I don’t understand. They’re not hurting anyone, they’re not marching through the streets with tiki torches, or disrupting the game at all. Every week those guys take a beating on the field, for our enjoyment, and we can’t give them a minute & a half for their cause?!?
-
That just shows it’s working. I hope a crap ton of them keep kneeling and take the fine.
-
I hope more owners take a stand with their players.

Unlikely

Wtf is up with America? All these ppl staning your constitution as the greatest document ever created; yet in the same breath make up some bs about how it doesn’t apply to POC???

They only have the right to make millions and millions of dollars playing A GAME because people died for their freedom. Standing for the anthem is a sign of respect for those soldiers that died. There's other ways to "peacefully protest." How bout that body cam footage, though?

Who is allowed to protest while they're on the clock working? No one's boss is paying them to protest and the NFL isn't anymore. They can protest however they want, just not during the anthem at their JOB.

They start getting paid when they show up to the locker room. Or at the very least, as soon as the jerseys go on and they run out onto the field. Nice try though. You people will grasp at anything. They're employees. They have to do with their bosses tell them to do. Get over it

Prior to the Dept. of Defense paying for pre-game activities as part of their recruiting efforts, players remained in locker room and we called on field AFTER anthem. DOD is the source of payment, so I'd say they're calling the shots here. Owners don't want to lose ad dollars.

They should bring soldiers on the field each time..One soldier kneels & the other stands & same with players. Maybe it will help to understand? Other option: stand w/Pic of a person who died from police brutality or someone disparaged by violence on their heart. Idk.. Something
-
It was already done. That is the reason Kap took a knee. Because a marine told him kneeling would show more respect. The also showes it on TV. Kap kneeling while the marine stood next to him with his hand over his heart. Already done...
-
I saying in uniform. And not just one or two of them... Everyone.
-
That still won't fly. It is paid Patriotism. The Military pays the NFL to play the national anthem and celebrate the Military. So it is all for money.
-
Ok, instead of knocking down the idea, maybe think of something that will be acceptable to everyone that won't harm military? Idk, I'm just thinking there has to be a way? To both pay tribute and shine a light.
-
The problem is your missing the point. Kap took a knee for unarmed black and brown men and women. Being shot by police. Because they didn't have voice. That is all you need it has been done. What the NFL has done is unconstitutional. Period
-
I agree. But now they can't, and I'm trying to find away for them to still do it.
-
This is going to happen. Kap is going to win his case against the NFL and the collective bargaining agreement is dissolved. Then there will be a lockout or all %70 of the black athletes walk. I believe the NFL is done.
