Is this an apology to the Trooper who you called a rapist and a kidnapper?

If you’re a man you’d take a knee and apologize! Your actions honestly are inexcusable, but you could at least make a public apology to the Peace Officer as opposed to the “I made a mistake” tweet.pic.twitter.com/mH1tldq2bB

If the officer or his family is harmed Shaun King and everyone that posts hateful comments and doxxing remarks should be held accountable.

Shaun, I love you to the moon and back. But this simply isn't enough. You need to go beyond this and ***issue a formal apology***. I will always support you, but support also means calling you out on your errors.
-
Agreed. An apology is in order.
-
Shaun doesn't make money on apologies. He makes money on racial divide and a hatred for law enforcement.

I’m embarrassed to be one of the people caught up in the outrage towards the original story before all of the facts came out. It was believable because there’s so much historical precedent. Credibility destroyed on many fronts- including future true assault victims. Heartbroken.
-
Same. Couldn’t have put it better. Embarrassed to have been so caught up in this madness.

Today we are too quick to rush to judgement on a whole lot of things (we have become an instant gratification nation). We need to get back to the notion of "innocent until proven guilty" as a safeguard for all Americans, and let the evidence lead us to guilt/innocence.

So what does this woman have to say now? Her atty? Boyfriend? Did they think they were going to fabricate their way into a settlement or something? Im lost here. They should be held accountable for making such false claims. I don’t blame Shaun - it was a compelling story.
-
You don’t blame Shaun??? For accusing this man of raping this woman in front of 977k people with zero basis in an attempt to stir up people against him w no facts? A “compelling story” (false victim) gives people the right to try to ruin the lives of whoever they want? Jesus

Based on the timing & allegations + overwhelming abuse of power by police these days, the story was believable. I click on tweets based on a caption & then the article or content is different. Shaun reacted to what was told to him & we all reacted to it. She needs to apologize.
-
I’d love to see your statistical evidence on the recent overwhelming abuse of power by police vs the recent media coverage of abuse of power by police (which ALMOST always ends this way) No shit she needs to aplologize and she will. So does he. Spreading lies as fact isn’t ok.
-
Apology is insufficient. She should be charged. She knowingly leveled very serious, false allegations against the police officer. It's not like she made a mistake.

Do you really think Hubbard is going to sue Shaun for amplifying this story? I doubt it.

Slander, first off, is spoken. Libel is what you mean, has to be intentional. King reported what he was told, this a lawsuit would never stick. Negligence maybe - but again, reporting what people tell him about a story is a flimsy premise. JS. Still needs to apologize, now.
