Let me tell you the cold, hard truth about most Democrats. They don't have any grassroots support. They hardly get any of their campaign cash from everyday people. Some get 90% & more from corporate PACs and billionaires. So, when it comes time to vote, they sell people out.

I fundamentally reject the notion that we can't afford to hold Democrats accountable to some very basic principles and ideals like not voting for a torturer as the head of the CIA or not voting to cancel essential Wall Street/Big Bank reforms.
What I know is that come election time, Democrats come to Black churches, kiss Black babies, play the sax on Arsenio, go to the BBQ, and even contemplate taking a knee during the National Anthem. But in those off years, they do shit that sets us back decades.

IMO this is why we need to push hard for campaign finance reform. Hell publicly funded elections. These politicians need to be accountable to the people, not donors. If nothing else people will have more faith in the system because the appearance of corruption will be gone
