Modern weapons of war aka assault rifles aka automatic rifles cannot be owned by civilians. Assault weapons aka automatic firearms before 1986 are allowed to be registered and owned with very strict ATF regulations and guidelines. Common handguns are more often used in crime.

They give access to those weapons of war to their children. I am a veteran who informed my own children of the dangers of these weapons and the purpose they were intended. At no time do they have access to those types of weapons so they won’t be plastered as disturbed.

Guns and other weapons are the only instruments of death that serve no other purpose. Their only reason for exisiting is for the maiming or killing of the living. That's why making arguments about knives, cars, hammers, doors, emotions, etc. is so ridiculous.
